PURCHASE -Top 5 next steps

So you've signed a Contract for the purchase of your new property. Here are your next 5 steps:

 

1. Instruct the agent we are acting so they can send us a the Contract

2. Contact your Insurer to take out insurance on the property - The property becomes your risk to insure as at 5pm the next business day after the Contract is signed.

3. Contact your financier and provide them with a copy of the Contract to get you financier application underway

4. Contact your building and pest inspectors to arrange your inspections

5. Crack the Champagne and Celebrate!!

1. Instruct the agent we are acting so they can send us a the Contract

2. Contact your financier and complete a Discharge Authority requesting they have a Release of Mortgage available at settlement in exchange for a cheque in the amount of the payout figure

3. Contact us with details of any undisclosed encumbrances or interests affecting the property or if you think there may be any contamination issues.

4. Provide all keys, remotes and security codes to the property to the agent prior to settlement.

5. Crack the Champagne and Celebrate!!
